For my final bog post I want tp begin by comparing my abilities as a photographer at the beginning of the trimester vs. at the end. At the beginning of the year I really only knew how to take but I didn't know how to make that picture the best it could be. now I know how to incorporate perspective, placement subject and camera, and zoom to improve the quality and my overall image. Secondly, Draw the trimester I have learned the basics on how to break down an image and its settings to improve mainly the quality of the photograph. at the beginning of the trimester I didn't know what shutter speed, aperture or ISO were and what their function and purpose was. now I know their purpose and how to take advantage of that to then improve the image quality. Lastly I want to look back on the growth in my Photoshop capabilities. The beginning of the year Photoshop existed and when we worked on Art Photoshop assignment I barely knew where to start. Now when I go into the lab I know exactly what I'm doing and excited to see what I do. To finish up, this trimester has taught me a lot all things I will carry with me through the rest of my time in high school and beyond. Best Photos:Worst Photos:

For this assignment, we were assigned to make creative visual puns and take images to the internet to then create the pun. To reflect on this last photoshop assignment, I think I got more comfortable with moving the layers into the correct spot and got to use the magic wand and selection tools more.
For this assignment, I decided to take images of the trees and scenery of Mill Pond Park. The sun was bright so the image was over exposed so I had to play around with the settings. However there were still places where it was over exposed. So I had to edit the images in photoshop and change the brightness and contrast.
To reflect on this assignment, I think it went well even though I struggled with the over exposure in the images. But in the end by using photoshop to darken the image and make the over exposed areas blend in more and by changing the contrast to make the colors pop, it turned out well.
For this assignment we were told to find photoshop tutorials and follow the instructions to make our own personal product. The different tutorials exposed me to different kinds of things I can do with photoshop with countless tools and different techniques.
For this assignment, I chose to take photographs of the trees and leaves outside. In this assignment I tried my best to make the image pop by emphasizing the colors of the leaves. Before: After: Shutter Speed: 1/60 Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 800 To reflect on this assignment, I think I improved on my sills to adjust the image and use contrast and brightness to help bring out the colors of the image.
For this assignment we were instructed to take images of the same scene and subject but with the subject in different places. After that we put the images into photoshop and used tools like the lasso tool and layer masks to then create one image with multiple subjects. To reflect on this photoshop assignment. I improved on my photo taking techniques like using a tripod to limit movement and I also learned how to use more tools like the lasso tool and layer masks, and my understanding of the layers and how to work in photoshop improved.
For this assignment we were assigned to take an image of around the school and use photoshop to edit the image.
Shutter Speed: 1/320
Aperture: f/3.5 ISO: 1600 For this assignment I decided to take photographs of people/children paying at the park. In my photos I tried to capture their faces and smiles to make them stand out in the image. Before Photoshop: After Photoshop: Shutter Speed: 1/500 Aperture: f/5.0 ISO: 125 During this assignment, I improved on my techniques to take photographs of moving subjects and what shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO work best on those specific photos.
For this assignment I decided to take photographs of things around Downtown Ann Arbor that represented light. I took these photos at night so the representation of light in my images was stronger. Original PhotoEdited PhotoI edited my brightness/exposure and contrast in photoshop. I also cropped my image. SS - 1/40 Aperture - f/3.5 ISO - 100 To reflect on this assignment I think I did a really good job by finding the best places to get images and learning how to adjust the cameras shutter, aperture, and iso to help make the image look the best with the particular light of the setting.
For this assignment we took pano photographs and then put them into photoshop and merged them together to make panoramic images. To reflect on this assignment, I learned how to overlap my images to help merge them together in photoshop. I enjoyed this assignment because I learned how easy and fun it is to create panoramic photographs.
